Calls with mom

I created this data viz on Monther’s Day last year. Recently, I updated it with all the calls in 2020 between my mom and me.

Here are some trends you might notice:

• I used to call my family during weekends, but I started to call my mom daily in March 2020 when the quarantine began.
• I didn’t call her very often during September because I moved into a house where I had roommates. I had to accommodate my roommates’ schedule and couldn’t call my mom in the morning (My mom and I had a 13 hour time difference). On the other hand, I could chat with my roommates.
• I returned to my daily call schedule in November when I moved out of that house and lived by myself again.

I really appreciate that my mom is always there when I need someone to talk to. She is always the inspiration in my viz and in my life!
